Man HMF should Give me pipes for All the Free info I put out there on them...lol... Here is an 02' 400ex I did Last week. This one was All Stock also. I put the 18" Dynotires on and began getting a Stock Baseline. Here is what I got. The Mods I installed:

HMF Slipon-Yellow
K&N Filter
Airbox Lid OFF
K165 Long 6mm Hex

On the jetting, I wanted to see what would happen if I just changed the main. I put a K165 main in with the Airbox Lid Off. To my Suprise it was in spec. The K165 is a touch lean but I wanted that because i know he would have to put the Quiet Core in and didn't want it to go Power Loss Rich...The Setting you see with the 165 is still ok to run with the Quiet Core out...Thats why I left it.

Would it be possible to put the HMF slip-on and the WB full on the same graph? I know they're not the same bike but the two stock runs look nearly identical. Thanks!

what would a full yosh or sparks pipe be??? i'd think that u'd get more than that out of a pipe

They didn't replace the "pipe". Just the silencer. ;)

But still, a 28% increase in Torque at 4500rpm isn't too shabby.. lol.

HP increase isn't to shappy considering they are still using the stock header and stock cam. Flow will be somewhat limited on top. But as you can see keeping the stock header did wonders for the torque. If you used a larger aftermarket header, I doubt you'd get to keep all that torque.

Was the needle in the stock position? What's the lean spike at the beginning of the run?

My guess is the accelerator pump wasn't able to keep up as the throttle was opened right at the beginning of the run.

ha ha, thats all the power 400exs have? the way my friend(who owns a 400) talks youd think theyd outrun anything. hes a noob though. a 400 would definitly not outrun a kx 250 right? how much hp do kx250s have stock? mine is fmf fatty piped, jetted, uni air filter, and has reed valves. pic is not mine but is close enough to it.

you would whup a 416 with cam, pipe, piston, headwork etc with a stock kx250. a 125 with just a pipe will blow it out of the water

also a stock kx250 makes about 46 hp. with a pipe you can get roughly 3 more horses, and reeds will add even more. you will beat a stock 450R or yfz450 with that thing

Stock KX250 does not make 46hp....30-33hp to the rear wheel. 125cc makes 22-24hp

dude, maybe you got some dyno charts from the '80s laying around and that is where you are getting your info from...but for everyone that is in the new millenium, a standard 250 2 smoke dirtbike will make in the 45-47 hp range, and a standad 125 2 smoke will make in the 32-34hp range.

i will personally look up some dyno charts. for everyone that doesn't agree with me, go to pingertalk.com (http://www.pingertalk.com) and anyone will be able to tell you the #'s of a modern 2 stroke

yea no way a 400ex even modded is going to beat a kx250 let alone one like yours

i just realized that maybe i came acrrossed wrong. maybe you were thinking of a 250F?

im just saying that i have seen dyno charts of 250 2 strokes and they make more than 33-34 hp stock. a 250R quad makes that much, but a 2 wheeler makes more
