hi i just got a 2001 440ex with new top end with cams, valves, rockers and new cluch, the old owner said to fun 112 gas in it and i was wondering if that is the best gas too use for it, and also, i got beet but a stock 400ex moor draging today and my quad was like hittin the rev limiter way to fast and it seems like it was boggin at the begining of the gears a little and i know how to shift like perfect.i think it might be the 22 in back tires and the gearing or ike wrong or dirty gas or like a ketting problem, someone please help me out asap!!!!!!!!!!

thanx, nick

you need to find out what compression piston that the guy put in it to find out what octane gas would be the best in it. the rev limiter could be fixed with a higher rpm CDI box. But i would say that you are right about the 22" they would probably be what slowed you down. also does the bike have a pipe on it?
