I am new to atving. Bought my '03 660r about 2 months ago(first bike). I have been going hard since and am already clearing 40ft table tops which maybe the cause of my problem. My rear end has a ton of play(an inch or inch and a half)and is sqealing. I have read some other threads and think I need a bearing or axel carrier??? Some carrier anyways. What am I looking for? Where can I get a good one cheap? Good Brand? How much will it cost and how do I replace it? thx for the help

Replace axle bearing if it has play. Not too sure how much it will cost, or brand, or where to get one, more people will post though.

i just had to buy a new one and it cost me $300 but it was a stock one. after words i found them on the enternet much cheaper from aftermarket makers but i don't know if they are any better.

that squeal is, your rotor hitting ur skid plate, or chain and sprocket. could be ur axle runing its self on the carrier. stop ridding and replace ur carrier and bearins. i bought one of here for 130$ or something, was brand new.

i tried burgard and didn't have any luck at all.so i tried rpm carrier assembly.i have no complaints at all.my buddies rapter bearing were actually squaeling when the bearing were bad too.u may want to invest in a anti-fade nut to.the stock jam nuts r junk.they looseness up all the time.
