Don't have a CLUE!!!!

I was riding my 400ex lastnight and I dont know if I killed it or if it died but now I have no power to nothing!!! fuses are good.. They relay dont click and I tried to hook a wire from the battery to the starter and it dont even turn.... Have any Ideas?

what's your batt. volts?

I have 12.78 volts to the starter relay. No it wont start if I jump it.

well id think that if it doesnt jump start then the problem is in the motor not the electric start system cause u can jump start it w/o a battery and all that. im no expert tho

The engine is fine.... I just dont have power to anything....

Did you check the ground?

The ground from the battery? Yes I check that. I tried to cross over the starter relay and got nothing also... So I have no clue.....

Do you have lights? Try wiggling the pos. and neg cables and hold down the start button as your doing that and see if it trys to start.

what he means by jump start is pushing it until you get up enough speed (while in gear and holding the clutch) then dump the clutch and jump on it at the same time, this should bypass all the starter system. but it sounds like your starter relay might be bad, if you have power to it but its not clicking at all, it is either shot, or the ground on it is bad. You have to check the ground on the relay and on the battery, the battery ground is a common problem on our bikes, the wire likes to pull out of the terminal. Your battery could still be bad as well, it might have the voltage but not the amperage to make the relay activate.

check the connections under the hood(Green one and clear) also back by the battery, I'd just start checking connections. I don't think your starter is bad so their is no point in trying to hot wire it or pull start it for that matter cause I don't think that will repair your problem. Keep us posted:)

Well I pull started it and it runs and when it is running the solenid clicks alittle bit.... but still have no power to anything else....

same thing happened to me and what happened was one of the wires that goes to one of my headlights got a whole worn in it and was shorting out on a piece of metal. .. i had no electrical, but would still run... it was odd

Ok I feel Like a dumb@$$!!! The ground was just grounded to my airbox.. But What I dont understand is that it ran for awhile like that then all of a sudden NOTHING!!! O WELL I figured it out. THANX TO ALL THAT HELPED!!!!
