View Full Version : this fits a stock gas tank right?

im not positive but will this fit my stock 2002 400ex gas tank.

Nope. The one you've linked to is for Clark tanks which I'm pretty sure have different cap threads than OEM.

The one you want is part# 178408 (for silver).

i just got one of those recently (except I got the right one)....watch out for airlock. I had to cut out a larger section of the rubber gasket on the underside of the cap, and use a different cap. As it came from Rocky, my quad would cut out after about 3 minutes of running.

ya that was my main thing. little kids. thats just not good for 'em. i wouldn't care so much if u were just taliking to a bunch of adults or ur friends. thanks for hearing me out

i have one on mine and it fits perfect. just make sure u get the tusk hose with it!
