I would put a YFZ swing arm on it and their you go, the ultimate MX machine (well almost):p

Why is it considered a 525 when its a 510cc engine.. and how did they cut the weight on the outlaw so much, does that engine weight that much less?

Yea, a YFZ swingarm, frame, a arms, motor and well everything else. Polaris and MX is like an oxymoron.

That answered his qeustion in no way at all.

"Why do they advertise it as a 525 when its a 510, is it it that much lighter?"
Your answer, BC its a KTM

They advertise it as a 525 probably for marketing purposes.

No I said its a KTM powered dirtbike engine.
Dirt Bike engines are lighter than ATV engines.
Which he asked how did they cut the weight down so much.:chinese:

the only thing bad about is that it has a shaft drive!

Fred55
07-31-2006, 04:31 PM
No it doesnt......cant you see the chain in the pictures?

Mx_523
07-31-2006, 04:36 PM
I see the chain but...

Drivetrain
Final Drive Shaft
Transmission 5 speed w/reverse
Drive System Hydraulic manual clutch/manual shift

They are already ****ing up!:blah:

Fred55

its a chaing drive..with front and rear sprokets...that drives two shafts to go the rear wheels..otherwise you cant have independent suspension...trust me..its chain

07-31-2006, 04:56 PM
that looks really bad

and i would never buy a polaris:ermm:

the motor is purty though

Jeff Stoes did amazing on this chassis with the predator in it placing 2nd overall at at GNCC. Now rememeber this was his first time riding the bike and it was his first time really riding in a while. The ATV is worthy!

Im more of an mx guy myself but i think this bike has alot of potential in the Cross Country Scene.

Anyone who bashes it because its not an MX quad please remove your keyboard because its like somone putting down a boat because they cant take it on the streets. It was built for the woods. Deal with it.

Where are all the guys complaining about the Z450 being an mx bike now? Now there is a bike aimed at cross country and the other crowd complains. Stop Complaining. Its just another step foward for our sport!

wow that thing is almost perfect i mean look at, dropped to under 400 pounds still has irs, got the best motor you could ever put in a quad chassis, hydraulic clutch, electric start, reverse, good brakes, and reguard less of others' biased opinions polaris got the PRO steering right on the outlaw it turns very very smooth and there isnt much feeback through the bars, all that together equals one killer trail riding and fun quad for playing and xc racing.

the 450s are the mx bikes i cant believe ANYONE would be dissappointed they finally put the 525 in an atv and on top of that they did it right, ill be first in line to check out the first one at the local polaris place i can tell you that much
