Anyone have a dealer install a steering stem? I took mine in today after finding the tie rod bolt froze. Quote is $170 for labor to install new stem and tie rod end. Of course adjust etc. Is that high?

Does that include parts?? Do it yourself, it's a no brainer. Easy fix.

Yea thats way high to install a steering stem. Just do it yourself, unless you got the money. Is it a stock stem?

The dealers suck! But luckily, I have someone to do all my engine, and cosmetic stuff done for free!!!

The stuff I dont feel like doing myself, or dont know how to do, such as putting on tires. :p

My cousin works at a dealer :p Mr. Mechanic.

Unfortunately I live in AZ. I called another dealer and they said $100. Seems a little better. I was going to do it myself, but when I started to take it apart I found the tie rod end bolt siezed. Just got fed up and figured I'd let someone else do it.
