I am going to replace the stock tires on my wifes 300EX. She does jump and is getting better at riding all the time.

The stock tires are 22 X 11 X 9

Should I get the same size or get the 20 X 11 X 9's

I think the latter but I am sure I will have to mess with the gearing though.

Thoughts?

Will one set handle better than another?

Unless you have problems with getting humg up on ruts.. I'd go with the 20's.

Less rotational mass, and less sidewall flex.

You'll have to make a gearing adjustment. Adding a tooth to the front will just about compensate.

How will those 20's in the rear work with the 22's in the front? Will it make it more wheelie prone? Thanks

I run 22's on the front and 20's on the back and i dont do wheelies and easier than stock tires. I like the 20s alot better becuz there smaller and there lighter.

That is what I was hoping for but I would rather have heard it from someone who has done it...thanks

Did you change gearing at all?

I'm running 20' klaws on my 300 ex with 13/36 gearing and it is perfect. I have 22's up front too

Also try Donelson Cycles online. The tires come from Rocky but are sometimes cheaper with less for shipping.

Put the new RAZR's on and I like them. I don't even think I need to mess with the gearing...they are just fine.

The only reasons to put the 14tooth sprocket on is if you want the top speed to be close to what it use to be with 22's. And if you hit the rev limiter with 20's to much.

I put some 20's on mine also and ended up having to shift a lot, I also picked up a 14t sprocket but have yet to put it on and try it.

If I put the 14T on I have to do something to the case saver...correct?
