400ex VS. 125 2-stoke dirt bikes

should my stock 400ex beat stock 125 2-stroke dirt bikes in a drag race

its pretty much even bottom end and top end, but it depends on the rider, i wouldnt bet money on it tho

depends if the person on the 125 can ride or not, most likely though on top end he will get you by a lil but you wont get smoked

stock on stock, u should get him off the line, but he will beat u on top. i ride with a guy that has a '97 cr 125 that is bored to a 150 with reeds, piston, pipe, filter, ect.... and mine is dead even with his off the bottom, but his will pull away on top. i was riding with 2 built yz125s the other dau and i was tying and beating them off the line. those bikes were built for mostly top end though, so that would make sense.

it definately depends on the rider. I have beat 125's on my 400ex when it was stock, but i have also been beaten. I just recently beat my buddy on his new stock raptor 700 on a cr125, but i have been riding longer and have a bit more experience.

I have beat several 125's before I did all of my mods to my 400. We would normally race about 100 yards and i would win. But when we would race the hole ridge top (about 250 -300 yards), I would barly win. And everyone I ride with have been riding the same amount of time that I have.

ya, anymore ground and u'd be beat. i know a kid who beat the #@$% out of a stock LT-R 450 without thinking twice. he was on a yz125 with a pipe, filter, and reeds.

that's only because they r so light. a stock yz125 is only 197 lbs. that is half the weight of most quads.

i beat up a kx125, but when i race my buddys 250f and 426 i was with them till like 3rd gear then they where gone, but off the line i had them.

i can keep up with a 250f pretty easy. he will beat me on top though

The 125 will probaly beat a stock 400 due to it having more top end. Depends on how the guys ride and how long the race is.
