I have a brand new 07 trx 400ex and I am riding in soft sands at times and hard packed at others but I am only riding in one place which is ocotillo wells. Any suggestions on how much psi.?

4 psi is good on stock tires

I would experiment. I like to run 4 - 6 PSI when racing in the woods, ( 4 in the rear and 6 in the front) and 10 - 12 when riding on the MX track.

i agree, 4-6 trails, mx 10-12 maybe higher

Hey on my front tires it says maximum tire pressure is 5 psi?

Don't worry about what they say, I have never had a problem. Just don't go over like 15 PSI. My friend filled his to 35PSI and they didn't blow!

my cousin rode his with 35psi and they did't blow. the ride was like u were riding on a ballon though. :D
