I just got a new t-4 for my 400. I am having trouble finding a place where I can just buy a couple larger main jets. My question is as follows: Are jets carburator specific i.e Will mikuni jets fit in a keihn carburator, or are all jets universal or do they need to be carb specific? My honda dealer sucks and could not even answer that question. On top of that he said I would have to order 5 of each jet because they come in packages of 5 and he did not want to get stuck with the other 4. I guess living in rural Maine sucks sometimes, but lots of woods to rip it up!!

Just buy a K&N power up kit,,it will have everything you need..sounds like the answer to your questions since your dealer is stinkin up the area..:(

Rico is right in that you should buy the K&N kit, but if you call Marcums, they will sell you individual jets. If money is a big issue that will save a little till you can get the kit. You bike will be running lean with the pipe, so don't wait on the jets.

What exactly does the k&n kit consist of. I am assuming multiple main and pilot jets and new needle? And how much are we talking about?

Assuming your getting the whole kit, it would be K&N filter, recharge kit, outwears, about 5 main jets, & needle. No pilot jets. They run about $115. I got mine from Moto-man.com

If you just want to get the dynjet kit, that is like $45 or so.

I you just get the stage 1 & 2 jet It come with diffrent sizes from 142 up to a 170 jet, and a new needle. I would try a 165 if you have a pipe and a K&N filter. The kits like 60 dollars
