The instructions say to drill a hole in the midpipe. Is this part necessary?

Thanks.

First off congrats on the exhaust i love mine, and no i didnt do the rivets. i think thats stupid and dont know what it will help and itll suck if u ever have to take it off. i put mine on a few weeks ago and havent had a problem so i dont see why you would need it. And you made a good choice with the Yosh exhaust it realkly gave me alot more power. Depending if ur in a sound sensative area or not you can take off the end cap and remove the quiet core yoshimura puts in it to open the pipe up fully. but if u cant cuz u need quiet the pipe still produces excellent power with it in

i did put the rivets on but i wish i didnt. its a pain to have to take the head pipes off. the clamps will hold it fine.

Thanks for the help. I installed it without the rivets. Next Saturday, I am getting the jet kit and intake installed.

Oh, and yes I the parks that I ride in have 96 db limit. So I will leave the quiet core in for now.

Thanks again!
