handlebar problem(paint pics)

ok i went to my Honda shop and got some handlebars about feburary i think i forgot to get grips so i havent mounted them so i went back yesterday and saw what omar(my dealer) had done to some renthals on a 450r.he moved the little key box foreward so the barpad would clear the key,so now im going to get some renthals or protapers or tags or something and try this on my 400 and i made pics on paint,they suck,but it gives you an idea

Im def. confused on what your drew but im pretty sure what your talking about will work.... just the key is in there tights.. my friend had that set up on his 450..btw are those long travel a-arms?Looks like you should get some nerf bars too..

thanks,im gonna try it when i pick up some bars. and on the drawings,i dont really know if its LT or ST i was doodleing and i hate nerfs,even though i have them.if i could,id trade mine for some IMS heel gaurds and be done with it.i was drawing a pic to try to help

lmao thanks,where the little key box is on 05's and up its like aa 450R so i figure it will clear the barpad too,the key will be in front of the barpad
