case saver and chain cover

When i got my bike there was neither of these on it because both bolts are snapped one is still visible a bit and the other was snapped half way down, I have an ez-out thing that hopefully will work for the one, as far as the other goes do i drill it out and helicoil it or just use a tap. Whats the easiest way to do this? am i going in the right direction

try and take the bolt out with out screwing up the threads by drilling a small hole into it and it should come out if you back the bit out really slowly. or dril it out, tap it then heli coil it.
