Couple Of Question

Hey i have a couple of question.
1. What type of steel are the header of exasuht made out of?
2. How does the packing in an exausht work/ Made out of

Not sure about the steel types but I'm almost there is no packing material in most stock silencers. Rather, a chamber/baffle design is normally used. Aftermaket silencers almost always DO use fiberglass packing wrapped around a perforated core.

If your talking about the 400ex the header is made out of stainless steel. Alls that packing does is absorb most of the sound of the engine so it isnt to ungodly loud.

im pretty sure the stock 400 header is just carbon steel...
