YFZ450 vs. TRX450

i am about to get a new atv and cant decide between a YFZ and a TRX 450.....i do alot of trail riding, and am planning on starting to race alot of gncc in the next year, and a little bit of mx. which do u suggest i get?

This takes alot of thinking..450R duh LOL.

well 450r for woods because its a little narower.

yfz on mx because of the handling.

but i think the 450r motor is stronger.

go wit the trx 450r....

alot of power... and the best suspension for a stock atv........( if u like jumping)...

made a good point bout it being narower... i didnt notice that... if u like trail riding....

it's really what ever u feel better on.do u know any-one with each.try them out.they so honda is more stronger for 06 and up then yammi.but the yfz is still a good quad.my opinion is a will always love hondas.thats my 2 cents

i do know someone wit a yfz 450 but i dont no when i'll be able to race him cuz he lives in jackson, Miss......i might be going down there within a couple months.......i dunno....

it also depends on the rider....

being that this is a honda forum... :D but seriously yfz have a good track record, literally, and you can never go wrong with a honda. Sit on them, see how they feel, maybe you can ride them both and see how they fit with your style

The yfz and 450r are almost opposite in the way that they feel. On the 450r it feels like your sitting in it, and on the yfz it feels like your sitting on top of it. Its just your preference on which you like better. I prefer to feel as if im in the quad because it makes me feel more comfortable. Sit on them both at least, but ride them if you can and that way you can decide which you like better. :macho

I have owned a very heavily modified YFZ and a heavily modified 450r, and would take the Honda over the Yamaha any day of the week. Dont get me wrong you will love either bike, and both of them are just as fast as the other, it just comes down to which one you feel more comfortable on. I personally feel like I can push myself harder when im on the Honda. But theres some people out there that think the exact opposite of that. No matter which one you get it will make you happy and will be a fast quad for sure.

You would be happy with both bikes.

Performance wise they are so close that it doesn't even matter.

Im makin the switch from Suzuki to a 450r and all i got to say bout the YFZ is that the throttle is to dam hard! its so flippin annoying
