I just put an hmf exhaust on and i just put a main jet in but mid to low throttle its sputtering a little bit so would it be a must to have to put a pilot jet, and would it hurt anything if i left it the way it is.

Is it sputtering when your taking off or when your decellerating?

What main are your running. I am asking this because sometimes the main that some people select is sooo big that it floods the engine. This should only happen in the main jet circut; however, I have seen when people said it was at low throttle, when they should have said low RPM (as both have nothing to do with each other).

So anyway, what's your main? Full system or slip on? Quiet core or no? Airbox lid or lid-less?
