Anyone else, have or are building a mini sand rail? I am currently building a Badland Buggy St2. Got the rollcage, front and part of the rear suspension done so far. It's a money pit. Hopefully the 125 HP enginewill scoot it along good. It's a single seat, and the rollcage/frame is around 120 lbs. The engine/tranny is 120... hehe Sould be plenty of fun.

The engine is a 2002 Suzuki 750 GSXR engine. The average dyno shows 125 hp and 65 Ft/lbs of torque at the rear wheels. I'm hoping dry weight will be near 800-900 lbs. Is that picture the desert kart? I was going to get their plans, but I like the look of the Badland Buggy better. It is also lighter, and more compact around the roll cage. I'll get some pics up as soon as I figure oiut how to use the new camera.

Here's mine at St Anthony a couple of weeks ago. It's a Short Sand Car with a Turbo'ed Hayabusa:

your going to find out real quick that that is a bad choice of motors, air cooled sled motors do not run good in the heat, or summer, they basicly only run good when it is cold out, and you wont have as much power as you thought because it will be running hor all the time, me and my friends have been through this before, it will run like a mother****** in the fall when it is cool out though
