do it yourself, its very easy and take no more than 3 hours. Order a muffler and just get the pipes bent for you. It will save you a lot of time.

The do it yourself stuff isn't as easy as thought, to get it done right anyhow. I'm a mechanic for the entire neighborhood up here and Ive found the easiest way to do get it done is buy mufflers and tips and take it to a muffler shop and say run me some pipes! just a tip.

i used to have a 93 4.3l sonoma too. i couldnt believe the difference with the flowmaster on mine. i put it on myself, i cut the exhaust off right after the cat, leaving about 3 inches for me to weld the muffler on. when i was done weling it on, i ran a pipe that turned down right before the back axle. good luck!:)

I had a 91 with the 4.3. A flow will sound nice. I had turn downs right after the flow, and no cat.

i JUST put flowmasters on my 89 s-10 4.3 litre. i went with a 2.5 inch system from the Y-pipe back. for $300.

sounds way better, mainly in the low rpm's. at 1500 it purrrrrrrrs. anything about 2 G's and it sounds almost stock.
