quad shipping

hi, thinking about starting a shipping service for quads and other toys. anybody have any ideas or suggestions? i was thinking around .70c per mile loaded. any info would be appreciated. thanks

For example:

Forward Air

Columbus, OH to Portland, OR 2442 miles by Mapquest
$593 dollars for using their metal shipping containers
$444 for using your own homemade shipping crate

Now your prices:
2442 miles x 70 cents=$1709

To match Forward Air prices:
$593/2442 miles=~24 cents/mile

Can you make a profit on 24 cents/mile? You had better have a full load.
