Do i have to Register?

Does anybody Register and or insure their ATV's. Any input on this would be great. I live in ny. if that makes any difference.

My quad was registered with Calif. DMV when I bought it. Most places out here in So. Cali expect to see the green sticker before you are allowed in to ride.


My sons and my quad are both insured, but for theft only. If I crash it thats my @$$

I'm sure NY makes u register your atv. I'd bet they also require insurance, which is a good idea anyway.

I don't think in Iowa you have to register your quad, but if you want to ride in any of the OHV park they require it. Putting insurance on you quad is a very good thing. :D I lost a set of tires in a flash flood and they paid to get me new ones. That and there has been alot of theft in my area lately. Insurance is not that bad, I am paying $280 for two machines.
