Well it finnally went, can't belive it hasn't gone sooner but i was lubing my chain and my tires have about 1/4" play up and down...neat! Well i'm a do it yourself kind of guy so i was wondering if there was anything special to taking the rear end apart? i'm trying to loosen the nut on the right side of the swingarm right now...and its barely moving. i'm heating it up, spraying liquid wrench on it...and it still will barely move. Is there something i need to do prior to loosening the nut or is it just years of corrosion/grit? Thanks

ps. sorry just realized i put this in the wrong forum...newbie :P

Your on the right track. I don't think ya need to heat it up, put some penatrating oil, and make sure your turning the lock nut the right way to loosen it, after that you can turn the other nut so you can get the clip ring off, if your a do it yourself kind of guy can you figure it out from here. also do a search on this topic to find out which way the nuts turn. helps alot

you dont need to take the swinger off. Only the axle.

well I just relized that I was putting my lock nut on the wrong side of the threads.... I pushed it down to loosen, which is the normal way of regular bolts...lol. I have a aftermarket one on the way anyway.

that one is a pain in the ***. Buy a lsr locknut wen ur done, There $40 or so from rocky mountain.

The liltle ring is inside the nut on the Right.
get a long pipe for extra leverage.

Hellbound atv has burgauard carriers for $125 doul row or W.e.

Did ya see the clip ring i was talking about. Once you do it a couple times it gets really easy to diassemble the axle from the carrier.
