How would one go about cleaning a K&N air filter?

I'm not sure if you can do it any other way, but I ran a K&N a while back on my Wolverine, and I always used the K&N cleaning kit.

Seems like thats required.....been so long, can't even remember what all was involved

go down to a dealer and buy a k&n cleaning kit like said. it works the best out of anything for cleaning a k&n. there are very easy to read and follow directions on the box.

go to autozone and get the k&n cleaning kit.... spray the liquid on it, and let it sit for 20 min. then wash it out with water, let dry for some time, then spray the oil on it.
instructions are in the box... i think it's around $10 or so
