Well, my dad saw the new white 07 R last week and he said it looked real good. So he picked me up from work yesterday and was like, Im going to go show you it. So we get there and my eyes turned from the white R to this 05 black R. The white one had a price of 67 with tags,title,prep. The black one had a price of 49 with all the same things. Well I talked the guy down into giving it to me for 49,but I cant get it becausee I have no where to store it and my dad wants me to sell my 300ex first. I dont see why tho, considering, honda has the honda card that lets you have payments of $99 a month for 24 months regardless to how much you put down. Just thought I would share my misseries with you guys.

Oh and there was a used 05 for 48, which you could tell was used, I think I could get the guy down to 45 on that. Im just really upset after all of this. Mabey it will still be tehre in a couple months.

Their is thousands of people dieing to have a quad and theirs people like you that want take a quad because the color of the plastic:ermm:
I do like the white 450R too:p

Well if you get rid of the 300ex you can store the R wherever that's at. Otherwise, where are you going to put the thing?

Hopfully I'll get a 450r soon. I want white plastics, but with a kicker :confused:

Well, first of all, the 05 and 07 are almost completely different bikes. Maybe thats the reason?

why dont u just put the 300 underneath a tarp or something if theres no room

cause I will not treat my quad like that. Plus, that will be my race bike for the rest of the season. We are still debating on getting it. I can force my dad to park his Wrangler outside of the garage if it comes down to that.

Also there isnt any thing different between 05-07 besides the sprockets.

yeah there is the Engine is more powerful and the engine was moved foward 10 mm and the pipe is less restrictive and the swingarm is longer and diff changes on a-arms and shocks

I have acually been deciding on getting a different front end setup. How much do you want for them? They are being set out tomorow for service. Setup for a 140-160 XC rider on stock arms.

took me 3 years to convince my dad to just allow me to buy a quad I never understood what the problem was I had all the money and was wantin one real bad but if I were you I'd wait a bit and pitch some money in to help your dad pay for it then he will deff. buy it if you show you are mature and want a quad bad enough to throw in 1,000 bucks of hard work... and once you sell the 300 and get some money buy a new quad.. It will teach you more respect to your quad, and your dad will be alot more willing to buy you a quad just my 2 cents.

i would be the one buying it. I think I have come to a descion to keep my 300, and continue racing that for a little more experience and while doing that, start saving for a vehical. I plan on going to a tech school for mechacnics or going to West Chester to become a teacher, but either way, I will be taking a year off of school once I graduate to help me decide where I want to direct my life by doing some interships/apprentences.

Im pretty sure that the 06 and 07 they took 2mm out of the stroke and added the extra 2mm into the piston. They also bumped it up from 10.5:1 to 12:1 compression.

Dont do the 99$ payment thing. It sounds good right now but after those 24 months are up, they bend you over and screw you with interest. Trust me, dont complain about not getting an r right now, there are many out there. Sell your 300, save some cash and buy one in the winter. There is no point in getting one now if the 300 is your primary racer for the rest of the season.

That is great advice..I bought a 400ex Brand new in 2002 and did the 99 a month payment thing..After the two years u still owe like almost all the money that you borrowed...The 99 a month just pays the intrest and no principal. So in two years your quad value goes down but your principal stays the same...IT ABSOLUTLY SUCKS....

WEll I would put 3g's down and I did the math and if I only do $99 a month payments, I would be at like 5400 and the quad doesnt even cost that much. I talked the guy down alot on the price, but I think I am going to stick with my 300ex.

I bought my 2000 300ex off of someone for 1900. Everything but the motor was off a 2003. A 2001 to be 1800-2000 isn't that shocking, unless you have some money invested in it. If oyu're like me...I only have 5 dollars not including replacing parts. :)

no it was 12:1 in 06 too... and the stoke is the same so no changes were made there either, they spent alot of the changes on appearance over performance they didnt make many engine mods from 06-07...
