To port & polish or not

I am going to be replacing the head gasket & studs in the next couple of days, and I am trying to decide if I want to spend the money on a port,polish and valve job. Are the HP gains enough to justify the $300+ cost? Also, when the head is ported, the exhaust ports are matched up to the header, right? So if you change your exhaust (I have been thinking about getting an LRD exhaust), you would need to have the port/polishing done again, right? also, are there specific things I should ask or look for from whoever I take the head to? Thanks.

Do a LRD full system and send your head to LRD and let them port it and everything, i think its worth it.

It id def worth it exspecially if your are gunna get an aftermarket carb.
