This is an email I got from a member of a track I belong to. Kyle is a racer in my district. Here is some information about what happened. This is a combined 2 letters from Kathy McBride. The details are kind of skethcy, but I think you can get the point.

Everyone:

Below is a message from a friend of the Greenwalt
family.

As I'm sure you're all aware Kyle is far from out of
the woods with his spinal injury and needs all the
support he can get.

Please read on and maybe drop him a line or stop in
and see him.

Thanks,

Bob

I see you have a message for Kyle on your website.
He's been in Magee
Rehab hospital for a couple of weeks and he's working
very hard at his
therapy in the hopes of getting some mobility back.
Right now he's in
a motorized wheelchair and he's working very very
hard.

I know that he would be thrilled if you could post an
encouraging
message on his whiteboard...

I know Kyle would appreciate some good
words from your riders. Feel free to put a link on
your site. If
there's anything you can do, please let
me know. The kid could really use some encouragement.
You can mail him
a letter at:

Thanks so much

Kathy McBride
friend of the family

My good friend's son, Kyle Greenwalt has been riding and racing since he was 5 years old and he loves the sport. He turned 13 on April 17th and got a new bike. Well he took a jump and the rear tire stuck. He flipped over and I think he landed on his head. They rushed him to the hospital and he had surgery on C3 - 5 to stabilize.

He's been in Magee Rehab hospital for a couple of weeks and he's working very hard at his therapy in the hopes of getting some mobility back. Right now he's in a motorized wheelchair and he's working very hard. We know that his life is forever changed but we all still hope for improvement.

I know that he would be thrilled if you could post an encouraging message on his whiteboard...
