View Full Version : lost a fellow rider today

Every sunday 4 of us get together to ride are quads.We mainly trail ride and race around a small track we built in a field.For 3 of us this is the only time we ride are quads.The rest of the week they sit locked up.Our one friend lives on a farm and rides up and down the dirt roads alot during the week.About a month ago he bought a raptor 700 and has been ripping up the dirt roads with it.Well today I got a call about 5:30pm.It was one of my other riding buds telling me that our friend with the 700 had lost control riding on the road and hit a tree or trees(not sure at this time)And was killed.Thats all he knew at the moment and is suppose to call when he knows more.Its been bothering every since he called,I just had to tell someone.Thnaks for listening

feel sorry for u man got my prayers my dads friend died like 4 weeks ago by hitting some treets on his rubicon 500.

it just makes me realize how dangerous these machines can be if your careless.Like my other buddy told me when I got my yfz 450(traded up from a 300ex).Respect your machine's power and you'll be fine.I don't think we will ever really know what happened.

thats what I have been trying to find out.He always wore one when he rode with us but I don't know if he did when he was home.Nobody seems to be too forthcoming with any info so I am thinking he wasn't wearing one.

this happened just outside of addison.They had it in the local paper today.He was wearing his helmet.They said exccesive speed,lost control on the shoulder of the road and side swiped a tree.Died from internal injuries.They said there wasn't a scratch on the helmet.
