i just bought rear brake pads for my 400ex and i put them own and they rub the disc like the rear tires dont really spin that freely also they dont stop the best. Could this just be there new and they need to break in or what?

did you bleed your brakes? did you push the piston all the way back into its bore? how badly scared is your rotor? is your resivor level correct?

i just put EBC pads on and they rub alittle causing the rotor to get really hot make sure u have your piston pressed in all the way,do u have a block-off on it if not get one.

yea my rotor gets really hot and that bothers me because i am afraid something might burn up or i might mess up the caliber because the caliber gets hot also. and yes i do have a block off plate

my rotor starts makeing a cracking sound when it gets hot i took the temperture of them yesterday and it read 240 degrees so thats pretty hot but thats when i go fast but i think its all normal but they shouldnt get that hot.

I use EBC Severe Duty pads and have never had a rotor get THAT hot. They only really get hot on long downhill trails when I use them hard.
