Thanks,
It all depends on what your looking to get done.....but something like that i would usually charge 90.00 Thats airbrushed, cleared so she looks nice and wet,and color sanded if need, to be smooth like my baby(Reeses)butttt.:D.But I would do a little better on the price if your from atvriders.......:D

orange gear is still the best...but im not a big fan of orange on quads...for some reason it looks a bit dull to me...maybe its just me  and the cannondale started a new hot pink and black thing going for my quad color scheme...i still always wear some sort of bright orange gear when i ride..i think the suzuki will look great in pink and black with the white plastic :scary:

Look's awesome, just wondering how hard are those vs. a regular flame? I have ghost flames and flames almost down pat but I dont even know where to start with the "real" fire look..

those flames look like they are smoke not fire, which actuaLY look better IMO

07-26-2006, 04:23 PM

that is freakin awesome man! i tried airbrushing scrap pieces of my quads fenders, but never went for it. now you got me wanting to go out and practice again!:D

what type of paint do you use, and do you add any special additives to it? i tried the krylon fusion project and that worked out really well for me, but those flames are the ****! great work man.

how much would something like a airbrush set cost...i would love to start airbrushing. and how long did it take u to get that good.

figair
07-26-2006, 10:08 PM
A good airbrush intermediate set would run you 75.00.Paasche Vl dual action.Comes w/everything you need except paint and AIR obvioously.I use to airbrush t-shirts all through out high school, started doing bikes then(Harleys)about 2 years after that. Then I took about a good 5-6 years off.Now Ive been doiing it off and on for 3 years.
As far as being how long did it take to become this good like you stated.I think I am average(there is always improvements)I am better in some stuff, and less in others. But its like anything, the more and more you practice the better you will get.Just like riding the quad:D.

Thats it,like I said 70-75.00....then buy some Createx, aqua flow waterbased t-shirt paint and practice,practice,practice..you could mess around on foam board, carboard, whatever's laying around you dont need. Then when you want to step up,you can get your hok(house of kolor)when your ready to do your helmet,Ect....

Hope that helps

Im thinking about buying a hood for my LTR.. it might be during the winter rebuild season.. but I will get in touch with you when I get it so we can work out something. Im thinking about buying a carbon fiber gen-x hood and then have the hot pink flames on there. How well will it hold up if there is the clear coat and stuff on it?

figair
07-27-2006, 01:38 PM
Cdalechick,I would gladly do it for you then if you wish,if you do the hood you should be ok,as long as you dont run into an object head on.lol.It should be fine,I do not recommend doing the actual plastic though. The hood is ok because it really doesnt get any abuse.....Please let me know when you are ready, and if I do a sample of some pink flames,I will pm you and send you a pic....
Thanks for looking
Eddie

do you have to buy a lil compresser or can you run a big one

insaneracin2003
07-28-2006, 07:33 AM
big one should be ok but you will have to adjust the regulator and make sure there is a water trap in the line.
