How fresh is your gas?

What heat range is your plug?

Is the choke operable? 45 pilot may be too small for starting.

How much compression are you getting?

It is the stock plug and the carb. is new and I have not ran a comp. test because the piston. rings. and sleave are new .. and the gas is good I hope I just got it from the sta. I'll ck the comp. just to be safe from what I've seen I should have had the head milled I seen somewhere that helps starting .. ?

How does it idle when warmed up? A fast idle requires a fast kick.

Compression: By shaving the head you will raise compression. This will give snappier power throughout the rpm range. As your cylinder breaks in it will also raise compression to a point. Too low compression will make starting difficult, but a high compression sometimes "blows" the spark flame out. If compression is high, try narrowing the plug gap down to about 0.018".

Keep a handful of spark plugs available. They are easily fouled by 2 strokes when they aren't dialed in. You have a 20 year old ignition system... might not spark as strongly as it once did. Might go up a heat range to make it start more easily and resist fouling... (if you were running B9ES before, then try B8ES)

i would just make sure your choke operates fine.
