im looking to put a rev box on my 300ex. the engine mods are.... a fmf powercore4 full system exhaust, k&n air filter, and a dynojet jetkit. would a revbox really help? and which one do u suggest?

it wont really help. You have a almost stock motor, so no, its not worth it. Once you put a cam and high comp piston, then it will make a difference

Rev box can help with that setup. What you do is lower your gearing slightly and add +1000rpm. Increase acceleration slightly, and top speed slightly.

Basically the rev box gives you the potential of 13% higher rpms.

Gear down 10%.. and you get better acceleration. But at the same time gain 3% to top speed. (numbers aren't perfect.. just for relaying concept).

But, I agree you'll get a lot more out of a cam right now. HC (11:1) piston is very nice also if you don't mind digging into the motor.. the 300ex has a very low compression stock. I wouldn't spend too much cash though.
