I have had go-carts, snowmobiles, dirt bikes, diffrent quads, you name it, but I havent had a machine that (cold and hot) starts so hard as my 400ex. Dont get me wrong, I love the machine, but getting the thing running can be a pain in th a%#. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this type of problem with this model, I bought mine brand new in March and the problem just wont go away. I hate to do it, but I think its dealer time...

go up a few sizes on your pilot jet it will help out wiht it being hard to start, and make sure you warm her up;)

if you think a stack EX is hard ot start try a 440 with FCR 39mm at 20F. after that i re jetted lol

Mine is pretty hard to start also. I plan on installing a 42 pilot jet whenever I get around to modding and jetting mine.
