I'm thinking about buying a used jetski(or standup...), anyone have any suggestions/things to look for. I don't need anything too crazy...

Any input would be great, I don't want a sit down so don't suggest it.

Get a 650cc or larger. All the others are way under powered.

I hade a JS440 and a JS300. The 440 was great for me... Pipped and jetted it would scoot and I'm 6' 240... Really cheap and a breeze to work on. The 300 would'nt get out of it's own way until I dropped a cylinder and rebuilt the thing. New pipe on that also ... man what a difference.

Just my 2 cents.
:D

I've got a 1995 750SXi (JS750-B1). Go for a stand-up....

I haven't ridden one, but their rep among hard-core stand-uppers is terrible. Basically, by trying to be two or three things at once it winds up being bad at everything....

try www.pwctoday.com lots of useful information in there. Much like this site only for anything PWC related.

No workie.

The jetski I am looking at is a 1999 KAWASAKI SXI PRO, I guess it's the same but newer then GPracer2500. For 3500$ Canadian, good shape and a bunch done to it (if your interested I'll find out all the stuff) but do you think that's a good deal?

I haven't actually been able to find many used for a reasonable price/year. Everyone was telling me I should be able to find tons for like 2000$, but the only ones I could find for 2000 were all 80's models...

Thanks for all the replies!

One of my friends is selling a stand up for 600 dollars. Everything is running perfectly, but he has to do one more thing to it. And he told me it wouldn't take but 30 minutes and he has the stuff for it. But he hasn't had time to do it because when he's not working he's working on his 4-wheeler and truck. PM me if you're interested, I can talk to him whenever.

What's wrong with sit downs? Take a gander at what you can do on a sit down!!

That price seems maybe a little high--depends on condition and what's been done to it though. The 750SXi Pro is a great ski though. It's basically the same as my ski except the hull is a little different--fiberglass instead of SMC.
