I was wondering if anyone knew what a k&n dunojet jet kit 165 and 170 were comparable to in stock size jets. I am putting a 416 in and was wondering if I would have to change back to stock needle and stock type jets for the extra needed fuel. Maybe the 170 dyno will run enough fuel, but I know I'll have to move up to a 40 or 42 pilot. I am at 900 ft. elevation. Anyone with knowledge in this area would greatly be appreciated. Thanks!

they are the same number no matter what brand you hop around too

Why would you switch back from dyno jets to stock jets??? The dyno jets are gonna perform better than the stockers will. I run a dynojet kit and after my 416 upgrade all i ended up doing was up the main jet from 160 to 165...

I am already running the 165 dynojet after running the 170 dynojet for over a month. There was a very small amount of hesitation with the 170 and a little darker plug color, therefor I switched to the 165, so I feel that to get the fuel I will need, I will have to go higher than 170 dyno. My only mods are k&N filter and yoshi slip on. I base my reasoning on the fact the jet kit comes with jet sizes 134 to 170, while stock jet is 148, why would anyone need smaller than 148 while running a more open filter? I think the dynojets have smaller increments and a 170 dyno is close to a 160 or 162 stock type jet. I may be very wrong on this, anyone else with feedback would be appreciated.

a 170 dyno is the same as a 170 klein the reason the kit has smaller than stock is because they use it for more than on quad like the same jet kit you buy for the 400 could very well be the same one for the 300 it's cheaper that way and less part numbers

Thanks for that info, now, do you think I will have to go higher than 170 to break in my new 416 JE 11.1 piston? Thanks again!

that i dunno for sure all i can tell you is to do whatever the plug says and there is a jetting how to somewhere around this website that tells you what symptoms to look for and how to correct them

You shouldn't need anything higher...I upped my jetting mainly because I not only upped the compression and bore but I added a different airbox with no snorkel. It's not a complete must to change jetting after a 416 kit,,you'll only need to change the jetting if the motor is not running correctly. I suggest leaving your jetting the way it is. Install the 416 kit and break it in....THEN take it out,,run the piss out of it and see what happens.

PS..are you also putting in cam???? The Cam would give you more of a reason to change jetting than the piston i would think.
