Are the alluminum intake boxes any good. I thought its a good idea because it holds your battery too which keeps the battery clean and protected

I have one it holds up great and I think makes the quad look more clean no wire or battery hanging underneath the rear fender

No flamer,it didnt break,I cut notches out like Big D-racing so i could use my Knk seat latch but in response the airbox weakend from me cutting out the notches so it bent forward,so it was my mistake and CFm is fixing it for free

yeah i want one...but i hear of them braking and cracking alot. the way it is supported doesnt seem to be able to take the weight of the battery and causes stress cracks. just my 2 cents...

it seems that they could use some parts of the side of the subframe to assist in mounting the box...
it may help if they could put rubber washers on the mounting points to help with some of the impact that it prob takes...
just my opinion

Mine does have rubber washers in between the box and all 4 spots where it is in contact with the subframe.

mine hasn't broke, i've had no prblems what so ever, and I never said it did. So why do you keep say,"and they still break easy?" You can't see the rubber washers because they're between the frame and the aluminium of the airbox's mounts, thus not being visible to the eye. THINK ABOUT IT

Mine doen't look like it will have any problems... Took it out once with it and didn't see one problem. Even went through water and mud and never got any inside the airbox... Turned out great.

It's about 4 months old. When I take it out I completely clean the shyt out of it. Just yesterday I spent the entire night polishing all my billet and cleaning everything up from the ride last weekend.

Believe me, it gets ridden....

lol
