r6 in a 450r

Has anybody here ever tried to put a street bike engine in a 450r? or any quad for that matter. I have 3 r6 motors laying around and would like to do something with them

i never did it, but i saw it done to a z400. the guy had to modify his frame and everything to get it in. i know it can be done

yes ppl have doen it but the real q is why do u have 3 r6 motors laying around why no bike ?

At the drag races this weekend I saw two quadzillas, one with an R6 and one with and R1. The frames were modified to fit.

Were you at Sand Lake when it was out there? It was a yellow suzuki with a GSXR 600 engine. It was fast, but he said it wouldn't handle.

I would put a CBR in a 450R. LEave the yammie motor in the YFZ. lol. Anyways, I don't know how well it will work. It will scoot, but will be heavier, and cumbersome. I have a 750 GSXR in my dune buggy. Hope to see how it scoots soon.

no, i i've never been to sand lake. i saw it done in a magazine

i saw a guy in yankton sd that had put an r1 motor in his yfz but he couldn't get the quad to work with a rear shock, the chain would fall off, i think this was just a design flaw for him but wow was that thing fast! and sounded cool to boot

Yeah I saw that one also. Those guys are all nuts.

all those guys are related, the kz1000 belonged to the dad, the r1 belonged to the son and the r6 belonged to the cousion. the dad built the kz and the son helped his dad build the r1 and the son and cousion built the r6.

I saw a guy at SL that had a CBR600 stuffed in a 250r frame. He only rode it for a half hour and the bottom end had a knock. Said the motor was from e-bay. Sounded awsome the short time it ran.

if i had 3 R6 motors hanging around and all the parts to make it run id stuff one in my ex and not even think twice.if i can put a 355 in a fiero i think that would be much easier and more fun send me one heh heh
