My 300ex has 20' klaws on the rear and right now I am running 13/36 gearing and I like it the only problem is that the chain dosen't fit right. It's too loose or too tight and the adjuster dosen't make up for it. I have been using a half link but I want to get away from that. So what gearing could I go with to keep my top speed and low end power about the same as what i have now. It's just about time for new sprockets now!

Could go with a 14/38.

It would be pretty close.. 1 mph taller in the top end. So it souldn't really be a noticable difference.

if 13/36 gives you a 1/2 link problem.. then 14/38 should put you at a full link.

Using half of the front sprocket from a 13t => a 14t will add half a link.

Using half of the rear sprocket from a 36t => a 38t will add a full link.

So you're chain will need to be 1.5 links longer than youre current setup, putting you at a full link increment.

Cool Thanks

Can I still keep my case saver with a 14t up front?

Yes, you just need to grind about a 1/16th of an inch off of the face where the chain would hit.
