what is the biggest big bore kit i can get for my 400ex,with out getting the casses milled out for the sleeve?

not exactly sure but you can go 440 for sure, I would do a search

oh. i think i misunderstood him. if u meant bore without putting in a new sleeve, then u can't go bigger than a 416. otherwise, i'm not sure

If you bore to 440 and stroke it I believe it comes out to around 460.

You can go up to a 426 on stock sleeve, been running one for years. you can put a big bore sleeve in and go up to a true 440 (89.5mm piston) on it, but if you go bigger with something like teh 465 kit you will need to have your cases machined for the larger sleeve.

416 bore + stoke = 440....

that is what i would do so you don't have to machine your cases...
