what will happen if I over-fill my oil tank??? Pop says I will blow every seal in my 400, but he thinks every thing I do is wrong,cough cough: Jackass: cough cough...Is there going to be any damage for me pouring like 3/10 of a quart more oil in there or what??? The reason for me asking is because I see these larger oil tanks available and it is supposed to help the machine...

I'd be careful, over filling the tank causes to much oil pressure, could be a bad thang for the engine, on 400ex to drain the oil, you need to drain the tank, AND the motor, otherwise old oil is left in the engine. I just changed mine yesterday, just change the tank oil with out changing the engine oil, the oil is black already, so(moral of story) don't be lazy and just change the tank oil.

i did accidently and now it smokes when i start it so new vavle seals now

to much oil will blow out a valve seal,
you will notice that when you start to burn oil becuase your vavles are alowing oil to by pass them instead of sealing them, so just look out for that, if it does happen pull the head off and replace them..

Damn, I hated to hear that... I guess I have to fess up to him... I guess I will do the whole procedure tomorrow...I really hate my dad, not because of just this but because of other things that are best unsaid on this forum...
