Ok to start out with, i really don't know sh*t when it comes to carburetors...
I was leaning out my carburetor on my mustang today (Edelbrock 600cfm 4bbl) and did the basic tuning (turned in the mixture screws in till it started dying, then back out 1/4 to 1/2 turn) everything was fine, but was still blowing a LITTLE bit of black smoke (Nothing I should have worried about now...). Anyways I read something on carburetor tuning and it said to adjust the idle screw to a higher rpm, then mess with the mixture screws to get the highest rpm, and then lean 1/4 turn and set idle screw to preffered rpm...
Ok, i'm an idiot, i should have left it alone and been fine with it the way it was. After messin with it the engine won't idle smooth at all no matter what i do with the mixture screws and is blowing LOTS of black smoke.
Anybody who knows what they are doing please help! I'm needin to learn some stuff here...
