Wait wait wait - just one cotton-pickin' minute. . .Who stole my Raptor and painted it yellow? :huh Wow, I'm glad Suzuki is "getting back in it" but I think them boys should have spent a little more time and came up with some more original ideas, sorry but it resembles the Raptor a little too much. Am I alone here ?

Is it just me or does it look like a suzuki is despiritly trying to compete with honda ? I think its real nice suzuki came out with new sport quad. Now we have honda, yamaha, cannondale, suzuki, and poloris all in the competition :)

This suzuki im afraid is going to kill our ex's in the shootout, Did you guys see the horsepower on the drz motor it's around 41 stock. I dont even want to see this thing hit the showrooms, as soon as they test it our 400's arent going to be worth much im afraid. I talked to a dealer yesterday who said the suzuki rep told him that this thing was designed to all around kill the 400 in all the areas that the 400 beat the other sport bikes and to top it off he said it would eat the raptor from start to finish in all out power and speed. Im not sure it will live up to all that they are hoping but ive known this dealer for along time and i doubt that he is making any of the story up. He said they waited to release it because they were waiting to see what the competition was going to release this year and suzuki didnt want to release something that wasnt going to be king of the hill.:devil

How much $$$$ ?

It's got to be $5200 or under.

It will be a first year bike so it will have it problems. I wouldn't buy one untill a couple years down the road untill they get all the problems worked out. But I wouldn't buy one anyways becouse it dose not have Honda on it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, and the Raptor was supposed to be a super quad as well. 50% bike 50% rider. Bring that yellow abortion of a Raptor on! (just trying to keep my spirits up) :D

Didn't I read its a 4-cylinder motor? I think I did in another post on here, in which case the DRZ motor is not a 4-cylinder. Maybe that was a misprint of some sort? Can anyone confirm it is or isnt a 4 cylinder?

We don't know about that yet. After suzuki lowers the compression and gets a bigger heavier duty trans, thicker cases, and what not it will probably lose about 10 or so horse power.

Honda is in need of a new sport quad bad, I mean what's up with the 600cc scooter (silver wing) ? Honda needs a 450cc liquid cooled quad, 450ex would produce like 45-50 hp. WAKE UP HONDA !!!

then all of us with 400's will be *****in at honda for not making the 400ex anymore. honda isnt dumb they are smart because they know us die hard honda owners will ceep on buying them and telling everyone how superior they are.

:devil Is it me or does that new Suzuki 400 look alot alike the Yamaha Raptor? I Think its does!:devil

this is my first post, so don't take it easy on me.
i think the boys at honda know what they are doing. i know that many of us want a liquid cooled, 450/650, w/reverse (some of us anyway) to combat the new onslaught of sport quads. ever since the 400 came out, everyone else is playing catch up. all the new sport quads that come out are all compared to the 400 which is pretty much the best stock quad in all areas except power. but with a little investment can be beefed up. and even with the lack of power, they are still being gobbled up at the dealerships. hondas big bore 4x4 department was falling behind badly. they missed out when they only made the rubicon a 500 machine. they weren't even close to the other big bore 4x4's. they had to come out with one of their own. the rincon (stupid name) will let honda catch up where as the 400 is still, in my opinion, neck and neck with the rest of the sport quads. i would still like to see a more powerful quad come soon.

tell me what you think for a first timer.
