There are to many reasons to list and many would sound rediculous but they all add up. Example. The throw on the shift lever required to change from one gear to the next is like 1/4" on the ex and 3/8 on the Z( those numbers are just for the point, I am just guessing and the Zmay not even be more if you were to measure it, its just how it feels) Anyway this feel adds up to less precision when riding hard and results in less confidence in the quad and your ability to control it, This results in slower laps. This sums it up better than anything.IF I RIDE IT SOME MORE ILL GET MORE USED TO IT AND THEN IT SHOULD BE EQUALLY AS FAST, IVE ONLY HAD IT OUT A FEW TIMES. Ive heard more than one statement like that and I also was thinking that way. I believe the reality of the situation to be that when I can hop on someone else's ex and feel at home compared to my own quad there is a problem, That problem is that I own the enferior quad.

no there not. some people said suzuki copyed off of honda but we dont copy because we were the first to make sport 4-wheelers, and if we did copy of of honda ur saying poorly built. people say every measurment is the same and if they are that means the ex would also suck. neither suck they are both good. my neighbor has a 400ex and i have a z400 and the z just is a little faster and a little easyier to get up on wheelies. it is smoother. thats about it. it just depends if u like honda or suzuki more.

I have heard a place called Chicago Cycle Center has the cheapest prices in the US. I wish I could tell you more, but that's all I know.

Find the biggest dealership you can within like 300 miles. If they really are big, you can save thousands. I've heard of people getting them for the MSRP out the door! Also, if a dealer knows that you're going way out of your way to get the quad from him, he should be able to make you some sort of a good offer. That's about all I can tell you.

I just bought my new '02 400ex from Chicago Cycle Center for $4975 OTD. I could have gotten an '03 z400 for $5041 OTD as well...So far those are the best prices i've found for either model. You will have to pay the sales tax for the quad in your own state though. Hey if you end up getting it from there, talk to Sean Weeks, he hooked me up, and if you mention my name, I get $$$ for the referral!! :D PM me for more info if you need it...
