One of my buddies has an 87 warrior. The problem is whenever he is accelerating through 2nd gear through 5th gear it chugs. We have checked the bowl on the bottom of the carb, it is clean and the gas looks clean as well. We have upped the pilot jet 2 notchs (one at a time) and it still chugs. In 1st gear it runs fine. Any suggestions? What else do you need to know?

thanks

i think maybe he means it chugs like when its in too high a gear

does it do it even at WOT, or can you not get it to WOT

Well...at an idle it runs fine, and it runs fine on a flat surface in 1st and 2nd gear. Whenever you hit the smallest bump it cuts out like it wasn't getting gas or has a bad spark plug. We have drained the gas out put fresh gas in, new spark plug. Also messed the with main jet. I know, well at least I think I know, that it is not an oil problem. Like I said before, we have checked the bowl and the carb both look fine. I dont know what the **** is going on.

Does this help any more? Let me know if you need any more info. This is starting to piss me off and this is about the best description I can give ya!
