Anyone know what length chain to run on a 400ex with 14/39 sprocket set-up?

Just out of curiousity how come you geared it down? You should have plenty of bottom end with all the motor mods you have. I tried it on mine with just cam, pipe, filter and it was just way to much bottom end:eek2: . I ended up kinda liking the way stock gearing felt. But i bet you felt quite a difference in power when you changed them, that thing probably pulls the wheels off the ground like its nothing:blah:

I dont really do any riding where i need top speed. I do ride on the dunes occasionally, but not enough to alter my quad for it. I do mostly tight trails and some scramble areas. I mainly geared down to keep up with my buddy's on the trails with their new quads. I like a ton of low end. I haven't ridden yet with the new gearing. I am going out this week sometime(hopefully).

I have 14/13 gearing and a DID 520x94 chain on mine. I have a stock motor, pipe and filter, i noticed a ton of low end with just a stocker, very good XC gearing.:)

Just of interest to note : 14 39 is standard on the 05 Models , and I ended up on 14 38 .the bike was simply limiting too much in 5 th , even now I still tap the lever up trying to hook 6th ...

All I did to take up the slack was turn on the rear adjuster . Pulls in all the slack no problem .

wish i was your neighbour so I could order myself a houser swing-arm and a-arm assembly without robbing a bank for it ... Downhere we get RIpped as far as U.s extras are concerned ...
