That looks like a very nice quad. My question is why use one of the poorest handling chassis ever built for a transplant? It's your quad, and it's cool that you tried something different.

I dont know if its the trickest setup bu I think is real nice and very unique
you did a nice job matching that motor to the shee frame
Whats the mods youve done to it suspension wise and what to make it fit

Nice reply bud. I like the way it looks. I don't really know about the chassis choice, but anything will fit in a Banshee frame. I had issues fitting my motor in my frame, so I do understand how hard it can be.

killen them all

The right a-arms are scrap, snapped the tie-rod in half, bent the bottom of the shock, and warped the wheel slightly. It's fixable.Hope to have it running again before too long.

Thanks for the compliments, but QOTM doesn't really mean a whole lot to me. The new 4 strokes win all the time and all they really are, are the ones with the most money for pretty bolt ons. Making something work that shouldn't is what matters to me.

Freak of the month would be cool. FOTM

Yes is true that now money wins in the qotm and they are no original
Maybe a FOTM is a good thing for people that is not conventional on his rides like strange hybrid (like a raptor with a ktm 525 I ve saw gere that was awsome)or dragsters or other things dunners mudders etc etc.

Banshee's handle fine if you ask me, I don't see what the huge ordeal is... IMO they are the 2nd best quad, 250r's being the best, for rider comfort during riding as far as rider position and bar location. Some of the new 450's I feel like I am sitting on a dirtbike seat and being pitched over the bars..

It's mostly personal preference. I have always liked the way the Banshee handles. I've had a 400ex, a 440ex,a 250r and 2 Banshees. It just fits me better....

That, and, I had a Banshee chassis, and a 4 stroke motor laying around. One of my friends bet me I wouldn't put the motor in for a race. He lost....

same here. i think the banshee handles fine. it has great power to get the back end out, and it has a very comfortable seating position. and IMO the banshee has THE most comfortable seat ever.

I would go for quad of the month, but I am with Broke and Brian, how much has to be Banshee. LOL

Hey Broke when are you going to chrome your a-arms?

broke
11-16-2006, 07:42 PM
Probably never. I don't really like chrome on my bikes, or polished anything. My bikes are to be ridden hard and put away dirty. I'm not saying I don't take care of my bikes, that I do. It's just that they will be ridden anywhere, anytime through anything.
