Top speed on 06 TRX400EX (stock)

Sup new to this forum. I just bought a 06 TRX400EX.

Shes fast!


Dealer says it will do 85-90mph Just curious what it will do.

yah man i got a 03 its like the same thing as a 06 different body style and it does 67

The older models may have a tad more top speed since they run 15/38 sprockets instead of 14/38 like the new ones.

Congrats on your first post!!
I've got an 05, and we clocked it right at 65. I dropped a tooth on my front sprocket now though, so I lost some top end, but it's a h*ll of a lot faster off the line.

I think I'm going to drop mine down a tooth as well. 14 front/38 rear.

I need a new chain and stuff so I mid as well do it now.
