i have a few of questions about shaving fenders.
what tools do you use when cutting and shaping?
what is to best way to be sure both sides are even?
does anyone know where i can find photo's to copy?
thank you

you can use a dremel with a cut off wheel..razor knife..ect..
do a search under race fenders and youll get a better idea
you can use tape to make sure they are even

use a jigsaw and then sand the edges, measure them and make an outline with like a marker so ur even, just look around this site u will see many sweet quads with cut fenders.

If you even think about riding in mud, don't do it. I realized it was a big mistake about two minutes into my first ride with them.
If you don't mind getting covered with mud, and stopping to clean your goggles every hundred yards, go for it.

I ride mostly mx, but I went on a trail riding trip last weekend. Our group had 3 400ex, a 250r, and a z400. The 250r and my 400ex both have race cut fenders and we didnt get any muddier than any of the other guys. I never had a problem with mud clogging my goggles either, alittle hear and there. If you don't like to get dirty obviously you shouldn't play in the dirt.
