removing engine paint/polishing cases?

Is there an easy way to remove the black oem paint from my 350x cases? I've seen them polished, and think they look great like that.

Once the paint is gone, do I have to spray the cases w/anything to prevent corrosion/discoloring? Thanks!

You could try aircraft remover to get the paint off. But, it may turn the metal a different color.

Yes they are aluminum. As for how to polish them, I just made a post in a thread in this section on how to polish something, check it out.
