Hey heres the story.

In my back yard I have a huge pond. over 20 ft deep. How bad would it be to jump my quad into the pond a cuple times. Just drain the oil, gas, carb, and let er rip corect??

Just wondering because it would be f'in sweet to try a backflip into it.

Bad idea, say you get real high up and come crashing down backwards, its going to tear your crap up.

it would be bad if you lost it or something bad could go wrong the quad could land on you trap you and drown you or when you land you could land on something in the pond that is hidden many things coul happen not worth it if you want to get into freestyle and you are serious just get a foam pit

I don't think you fully realize how much work that is. You'd have to change the oil several times to get MOST of the water out. It's your quad though, do with it what you like. Not worth it too me though.

i drown my 400ex out when i first got it and it took about 7 oil changes to get the milk out of it. that's with 20-30 seconds (not continuous) starter turning over but not firing.

when i got home i tore the top end off and still found milk. boy do i regret going through THAT 'puddle'

been there done that:(

brand new LT500 quadracer....I tried crossing a stream that was a bit higher due to some spring run off. Quad flipped upside down and traveled about 50 yards until it hung up in a snag. The current put it under the tree and on the bottom of the creek.

It took a backhoe to get it out and 3 days to get it running.

The quad wasnt 5 minutes old:ermm: :p

Hey pappy since you had a LT500 can i ask a question. Why did they build it? Its not like they had 500cc opoients (sp) out there. Was it just for the dunes? Andddddddddddd how much power did that sob have?!

well ur gonna mess up your motor for a while with all the water and crap but if u have a good amount of water hitting the surgface to where it breaks the plane of the water it wont hurt
thats what we do for cliff diving and it allows the water to not hurt you!!!

I thought Steves looked the best. He flipped the furthest n looked like he landed the softest even though he got a concussion.

But just hearing them smack the water sounded very painful.
