Shock Covers???

Are shock covers worth buying for trails? My friend had them and they made the shocks rust at the bottom where they connected.

I fyou have aftermarket shocks they protect the shock good. but if you have stock then they already have a plastic sleave to protect them so they would be just for looks.

for sure worth it, especially on a staged shock with more then 1 spring, if mud builds up on a spacer it changes your spring rate :macho

the covers didn't cause his rust on the shock body.

if keeping mud and other crap out of your shocks is not worth it to you, then no. i myself have had them on all of my bikes before the first trail ride
